Magazine cover

Blog #1
1. Never trim a printout, mount it beautifully, and display it with its alternates on the finely polished surface of the conference-room table.
2. Gather copies of what your targets might be reading, including your competition, of course. Mock up an executive’s in-box or tabletop arrangement in some way, and place yours among them.
3.The screen is the wrong size, no matter how big it is. You can’t see it intimately as if it were in your hands.
4. An illusory likeness of the physical paper product that your potential buyer will ultimately be holding.
5. Print out all the alternates as hard copy, trim them accurately to magazine size and glue them onto old issues.

American Solider

Part A:
1. I think the most powerful image is number 78 the one of Ian's mom crying. I think this because I like wow she is showing emotion.

Part B:
Set #1 At home in Denver
#1 - #7

Set #2
#8 - #49

Set#3
#50-#70

Set #4
#71-#82

I think that set four is the most powerful because almost all of those picture show some sort of emotion and also because its nice to know that he is ok.

Part C:
I think the images go well together because of the way the captions describe each photo, with out the captions the photos wouldn't really tell a story.

C part a:
In the photos in which Ian is the main subject of the verbs are written in presents tense.

4.
Photo Number 78
Anita cries as she sees her son Jacob after  5 months of him being Iraq.

Photo Number 1
Jacob is thinking hard about whether or not to call  Sgt. Gavino Barron. He has been waiting a long time for this call.

Photo Number 6
Jacob hugs his best friends Brandon and Gerran as he prepares to go off to Denver Military Entrance Processing Station.
